After moving to Asheville with her family in 2020, Gertrude quickly began working with pets and their people in the area. She has been homeschooled for most of her life and is currently pursuing a degree in Behavior Analysis and Training. A lifelong animal lover, Gertrude has spent years studying animal behavior and applies that knowledge to every pet she works with.

At home, Gertrude shares her life with a dog, a cat, and a horse. Her dog Daisy is her task-trained service dog and agility partner — they attend college and compete in dog sports together. Periwinkle, her adventurous young cat, enjoys hiking, trick training, and showing off. Arwen, her sweet and sassy horse, is always up for snacks, scratches, and learning a few tricks of her own. Gertrude brings this same level of care, enthusiasm, and understanding to every animal she meets.
