Miranda C
PET SITTER / DOG WALKER / HIKER
Miranda has always had a love of animals big and small. Whether it was saving tadpoles from a dried up pond or helping bottle feed calves. Her favorite book at the library was the big encyclopedia of dog breeds and she'd spend hours learning each one. Growing up in central Wisconsin gave her a love of the outdoors and the opportunity to see so many native species out in the wild. This only fostered her interest in animals and she always knew she'd be happiest working with them.
Her first job was at an overnight pet boarding facility. There she realized just how rewarding it was to be trusted by others to give love and care to their pets while they were away. Since starting out Miranda has worked in pet boarding, grooming and daycare for over a decade. She has gained a lot of knowledge and experience thanks to the years caring for pets of all personalities, life stages and species.
Five years ago she decided to say 'Goodbye' to those Wisconsin winters and made the decision to move south. Asheville became the obvious choice thanks to its pet friendly culture, closeness to so many beautiful hiking trails and the creative art scene. Since moving she has gotten to know so many wonderful people in the area due to the relationship formed between her and their pets.
Miranda developed a passion for senior pets after adopting her first cat, a spry 13 year old, in 2019. Seven years later she still loves spending time with that same kitty and has adopted two other senior cats, and a dog, in the meantime. If she's not curled up with her cats and a good book, she's probably out in the garden, creating art, or exploring one of the local trails.
