PET SITTER / DOG WALKER / HIKER

Julia grew up in the New Orleans area and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Conservation Biology. After graduation, Julia hit the road with her two cats, Penny and Fig, to travel across the East Coast. She worked seasonally on farms and trail crews from North Carolina to Upstate New York in the hopes of finding somewhere to put down roots and begin teaching. During her travels, she cared for dogs, cats, goats, chickens, pigs, fish, and even a zonkey!

Of all the beautiful places she lived, she felt most at home in Asheville. In 2022, Julia settled down and promptly began teaching Biology during the school year while spending her summers farming. Years later, she feels grounded with the found balance between a buzzing classroom and buzzing fields of squash.

She has been pet-sitting for friends and coworkers for several years, doing anything from overnight stays, hikes, and administering medication to both cats and dogs.
